From Self-Care to Pet Care: The Rise of Dog Wellness in 2026

We're all aware of the wellness boom this year. Pilates princesses are having their moment. Brands are racing to plant a flag in the 'clean beauty' camp. And there's been a real surge in people reading up on longevity, biohacking and supplements. 2026 is officially the year of wellness.
So it was only a matter of time before we started applying the same thinking to our dogs.
They've always been part of the pack here, of course. But the way we care for them is changing. We celebrate their birthdays. We buy them treats at Christmas. My own mother has spent the better part of a year hunting for the perfect travel bag to tote her tiny rescue around in. Our dogs are woven into everything we do, and the companionship they give us has become a genuine reflection of who we are.
So it makes sense that we'd want to care for them as thoughtfully as we care for ourselves. Not just reaching for whatever's on the shelf, but building the routines and daily rituals that sit alongside the products. Just as we've done with our own wellbeing, we're shifting away from fixing problems as they appear, and towards preventative care that supports our dogs over the long term.
An elevated, everyday upgrade
Modern pet parents are paying closer attention now. Where ingredients come from. What actually goes into the bowl each day. There's a real move beyond the standard biscuit towards genuine nourishment, and that growing focus on quality is resonating more and more. Dog wellness is no longer a niche luxury. It's an elevated, everyday upgrade in care.
At Frankie & Paws, we're committed to learning out loud: educating where we can, and picking up plenty ourselves along the way. Our approach is built on quality ingredients, thoughtful science-backed formulations, and simple routines that fit into real life. No jargon, no judgement. Just better support for the dogs we love.
Because this isn't a passing fad. It's a lasting, more intentional way of caring for our pets, and we're all figuring it out together. And yes, as I type this, I'm renewing my own Pilates membership.
