What are Bacillus probiotics?

Bacillus probiotics are beneficial spore-forming bacteria — in Biome Balance, Bacillus subtilis C-3102 and Bacillus velezensis DSM 15544. Because they form protective spores, they survive the journey through stomach acid and reach the gut intact, where strains like Lactobacillus often struggle.

Are Bacillus probiotics safe for dogs?

These strains are authorised gut-flora stabilisers and are well tolerated by healthy adult dogs. One important note: Biome Balance should not be given at the same time as macrolide antibiotics (such as erythromycin or azithromycin) — this is printed on the pouch — so check with your vet if your dog is on any medication.

What do Bacillus probiotics do for dogs?

They help support a balanced gut microbiome, which is linked to firmer stools, comfortable digestion and immune health. In Biome Balance they work alongside prebiotics and postbiotics in the Penta-biotic® blend for whole-gut support.

Frankie & Paws supplements are complementary feeds for dogs, not medicines, and aren't intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition. If your dog is a young puppy, pregnant, nursing, unwell, or taking medication, speak to your vet before introducing a new supplement.
