How to use Biome Balance

Biome Balance is our advanced Penta-biotic® powder for digestive support. It's highly palatable and even fussy eaters tend to take it without issue.

With wet food: Sprinkle the correct amount onto your dog's meal and mix in thoroughly. The powder dissolves easily into moisture-rich food.

With dry food (kibble): Add a splash of warm water or bone broth (try our Collagen mixed with warm water!) to the bowl, then stir in the powder. This ensures your dog gets the full dose rather than leaving powder residue in the bowl.

In water: Dissolve the powder directly into your dog's water bowl. This is particularly useful for dogs who are off their food during digestive upset — they'll still get the probiotic support even if they're not eating.

When to give it:

Daily maintenance:
Give the maintenance dose once daily with their main meal. This supports ongoing gut health, immune function, and digestive balance. Think of it as a daily probiotic — consistency matters more than timing.

During digestive upset:
Switch to the higher "during digestive issue" dose at the first sign of trouble — soft stools, gas, reduced appetite, or a grumbly tummy. Continue the higher dose for 3–5 days or until things settle, then drop back to the maintenance dose.

After antibiotics:
If your dog has been on a course of antibiotics, use the higher dose for 7–10 days afterwards to help restore gut flora. Important: Do not give Biome Balance at the same time as macrolide-type antibiotics (such as erythromycin or azithromycin). If in doubt, ask your vet.

Transitioning food:
When switching your dog's food, use the maintenance dose throughout the transition period (typically 7–10 days of gradual changeover). This helps prevent the digestive upset that often comes with diet changes.

Tips:
- Biome Balance works best when given consistently — don't wait for a problem, use it daily.
- It's gluten-free and suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
- Can be safely combined with True Calm and Collagen as part of a complete daily routine.
- If your dog is reluctant, try dissolving it in a small amount of warm (not hot) water first, then pouring over food.

Important: If your dog has persistent diarrhoea, blood in their stool, or refuses food for more than 24 hours, consult your vet promptly. Biome Balance supports digestive health but is not a replacement for veterinary care.
